  • Starch & Sweetener Lab

    We concentrate our efforts on developing high value-added functional starch sugar materials for food and industrial use based on biotechnology and polymer chemistry technology. Our area of focus is specialty R&D using enzyme improvement technology, high-purity separation/purification and crystallization technology in order to develop functional saccharides. In addition, we are doing our utmost to develop customer-oriented products through research on the characteristics and application of various modified starches that have properties suitable for specific uses. Recently, we have been expanding our area of research by developing technologies that allow us to extract functional special sugars from biomass, a non-edible resource.

  • Bio Lab

    We are making groundbreaking achievements in the field of industrial microorganisms, in particular in association with amino acids, seasoning materials, and microalgae by incorporating advanced biotechnology. Furthermore, we achieved significant improvements in productivity in the amino acid sector, such as lysine, glutamic acid, arginine, and phenylalanine, through our accumulated expertise in the development, fermentation, and purification of industrial microorganisms. On top of this, we have commercialized chlorella and euglena for the first time in South Korea through our unique microalgae cultivation technology, and we have recently been accelerating the development of microalgae-based functional products.

  • CMO(Contract Manufacturing Organization)

    CMO provides comprehensive services from strain improvement to commercial-scale production. Our 60+ years of fermentation expertise provides the groundwork for the world-class fermentation production. The fermentation processes and downstream processes, two of our specialty areas, may be designed tailored to your needs and target products. We take pride in our extensive portfolio of CMO projects and proven track record of success in the CMO field.
